Who Are We?

Hello! I’m James Plaskett, Managing Director at JRP Direct Ltd. I started out with one minibus, and the belief that transport should be safe, punctual and stress‑free. In 2019, I founded JRP Direct and got behind the wheel every day. By September 2023, my original minibus company had completed the purchase of JG Coaches and, in March 2024, everything proudly became JRP Direct Ltd.

We’ve grown steadily since from a single Ford Transit minibus (October 2019) to a mixed fleet serving East Sussex and beyond. Today I focus on leading our brilliant team of drivers, office staff and mechanics, while our Transport Manager runs the day‑to‑day. The goal hasn’t changed: reliable, safe transport, delivered with friendly professionalism.

Milestones

I purchased my first minibus in October 2019 and, by December that year, I left my job to focus on JRP Direct full-time. Like everyone, we paused operations when COVID hit in March 2020, then returned carefully as schools reopened. Growth resumed with a second minibus in August 2021, followed by a third as demand increased. On 7 September 2023, we completed the acquisition of JG Coaches, and in March 2024, we brought everything together under the JRP Direct Ltd name. Today, we continue to invest in people, vehicles and systems so we can serve East Sussex and beyond with confidence and care.

We’re a small, responsive team that treats every booking personally. Professionalism guides everything – clear quotes, straightforward terms and timely confirmations – while reliability comes from modern, well‑maintained vehicles and proactive communication. Above all, we keep reinvesting in our fleet, our people and our technology so each journey is safer, cleaner and more comfortable than the last.

Meet The Team

The office team handles quotes, confirmations and updates with care. Our mechanics maintain the fleet to high standards. Together, they deliver clean, punctual vehicles and a smooth start to every journey.

James – Managing Director

James founded JRP Direct in 2019 with one minibus. He now focuses on strategy, safety and customer experience, supporting the team day to day.

Oliver – Transport Manager

Oliver joined JRP Direct in November 2024 and now runs day-to-day operations – hands-on, customer-focused, and always pushing the company forward through smart improvements.

Adrian – Operations Manager

Adrian has been with us since 2011 and now leads operations – planning schedules, vehicles and drivers – pairing years behind the wheel with office expertise to guide the team and support Ollie and Claire.

Claire – Administration

Claire runs our admin, keeping bookings, documents, and invoices organised so everything stays clear and on time. She will most likely be the first person you speak to when you contact us.

Paul – Head Engineer

Paul joined JRP Direct in July 2023 and leads our in-house workshop, ensuring every vehicle is road-ready and meticulously maintained to the highest standard.

Nathan – Junior Engineer

Nathan brings years of driving experience and a keen mechanical mind – always eager to learn, support the workshop and keep our fleet in top condition. Between him and Paul, they have 55 years of experience!

How We Work

Safety first, always: Our vehicles are maintained by qualified mechanics, tracked with telematics and fitted with CCTV for peace of mind. Our polite, DBS‑checked drivers are trained to put safety and comfort first. We pride ourselves on clean, punctual journeys, and your driver aims to arrive 15 minutes early.

Comfort & tech: Expect climate control, generous luggage space, and extras like 4G Wi‑Fi and entertainment systems are on many vehicles. Our fleet includes executive minibuses, midi coaches, larger coaches (including wheelchair accessible coach options), and ULEZ‑compliant vehicles for coach hire near London airports.
