Coach and minibus hire to Sea Life Brighton
JRP Direct provides coach hire to Sea Life Brighton for schools, youth groups, families and day trip parties heading to the seafront aquarium opposite Brighton Palace Pier. The business is family run from Cross in Hand near Heathfield, with modern minibuses and coaches on the road since 2019 and drivers vetted to enhanced DBS level. Sea Life Brighton has no parking of its own, so a good trip rests on using the council’s coach bays on Madeira Drive, booking the right tickets and timing the collection.
Inside the world’s oldest operating aquarium
Sea Life Brighton opened in 1872 and is the world’s oldest continually operating aquarium. It was designed by Eugenius Birch, the architect of Brighton’s West Pier, and its restored Victorian Arcade now houses more than 5,000 creatures, including the giant green sea turtles Lulu and Gulliver. The seawater tanks are filled from the nearby sea twice a day, the rockpools let visitors handle native ray and shark eggs, and the UK’s first indoor glass-bottomed boat floats over the 750,000-litre Ocean Display.
Coach drop-off and parking on Madeira Drive
Sea Life Brighton is at Marine Parade, Brighton BN2 1TB, and does not have its own coach parking. For groups arriving by minibus or coach, Sea Life points to the council-operated drop-off bays on Madeira Drive, just after the roundabout, with coach and bus day parking further along Madeira Drive. The Madeira Drive coach park is used only by coaches and is open all year round, and Sea Life notes that it is run by Brighton & Hove City Council, not by the aquarium.
Sea Life’s own guidance also points out that drop-off room is very limited, so we agree the set-down and collection times with you in advance.
