Hever also runs school visits built around its Tudor history. Teachers can choose a self-guided visit with worksheets or with First or Second World War haversacks, a private guided tour of the castle, the Time Travellers and Tudors workshop or a Romans tour and workshop, and a 45-minute Tudor or Medieval workshop can be added. Once a trip is booked, Hever offers a free preliminary visit for up to two staff and a school pack with classroom resources, teachers’ notes, maps and health and safety information. Arriving at Hever by coach

Coach parking at Hever Castle is plentiful and free. On arrival, a member of Hever’s staff directs the coach to a suitable parking area and then walks the group to the main ticket office. Hever admits the coach driver free of charge and gives them a meal voucher for one of its restaurants.

For groups that have booked a private guided tour or a workshop, Hever asks them to call its Group Visits Co-ordinator if they are running late. Every JRP Direct vehicle carries telematics tracking, and our drivers are at the pickup point 15 minutes before the agreed departure.
