Coach and minibus hire to Glyndebourne
JRP Direct provides coach hire to Glyndebourne for opera societies, music clubs, corporate guests and private parties who would rather travel together than drive separately. We are a family business running minibuses and coaches, executive coaches among them, from Buttons Farm, Cross in Hand, near Heathfield, and every driver is checked to enhanced DBS level. A good Glyndebourne evening depends on the season you are booking, when the gardens open, how long the interval runs and when the grounds close, and those timings shape the arrival and return we plan with you.
Glyndebourne Festival and the autumn season
Glyndebourne Festival is its flagship summer season of opera. Festival 2027 brings three new productions, Janáček’s Jenůfa, Rossini’s La Cenerentola and Mozart’s Idomeneo, along with the return of Bizet’s Carmen and Verdi’s La traviata, and public booking opens on Sunday 28 February 2027, with Glyndebourne Members given early access. The autumn season adds opera, concerts, masterclasses and recitals. Glyndebourne is a charity, and the Festival receives no public subsidy.
Timings on the day
The gardens open two hours before each performance, giving time to explore 12 acres of gardens, the visual arts exhibitions and the historic Organ Room. Bells sound ten, five and three minutes before the performance starts. Every Festival performance has a 90-minute interval, while some autumn performances have a shorter interval of 20 to 30 minutes, and Glyndebourne publishes each interval time on its performance schedule. After the final curtain, the grounds stay open for 90 minutes, with the Long Bar and the shop open for anyone who wants to linger.
Because these times are published in advance, we fix the drop-off and the return pickup with you at the point of booking.
